La Collegiata

High on a hill with a splendid view of the towers of San Gimignano, immersed in a park of centuries-old cypresses, lies La Collegiata
(member of Relais & Chateaux).
The building, erect in 1587 as a convent for the order of the Franciscan Cappuccini fathers, is today an exclusive 4 star deluxe hotel. The driveway leads to a beautiful italian-style garden opposite the ancient building, whose warm, sober tones of pietra serena blend in perfectly with the shapes and proportions of Tuscan Renaissance architecture. The entrance hall leads to the Cloister, around which open the Reception Rooms, the Library, the Fireplace Room, the Coffee Room and other areas for meetings and banquets.

The Rooms
Twenty rooms and one Tower Suite. Every room has some architectonical details or colour which makes it different from the other rooms. From the more rustic style of the dependence to the two floor suite. All the rooms are furnished according to the sober style of the Tuscan countryside, with the typical colours of the palaces of
Siena, like ochre, dark green, and bordeaux, as well as some touches of blue.

The bathrooms are furnished with stone and travertine. All the rooms are air conditioned and provided with safe, minibar, private telephone, internet access, satellite TV set with pay per view, courtesy set, towel or bathrobe, are divided into the following types:

On the first floor with garden (the Italian garden) or city view.
Some rooms with balcony.
One Tower Suite
It is in the Tower, covering two levels. Below, an elegant living room and bedroom; above, on the top floor of the tower, a room with a spa tub and a view of the whole valley.

On the ground floor or on the first floor with garden (hotel side) or
swimming pool view.
Seven Superior Room
On the first floor with garden view (hotel front).
