In which year did you start your wedding planning business and which reason(s) made you start working in this job?
We started back in July 2002 when I was laid off from a corporate planning job and I had known I wanted to get into the wedding industry instead.
Do you work alone or in a team?
We work as a team of 4.
In which languages can you take care of your customers?
English and Spanish
What are the main regions where you are planning weddings?
North Carolina
What are your personal favourites regarding:
a) a location for a destination wedding in your home region?
North Carolina is a great destination spot, we have both mountains and great beaches and fantastic historical areas also.
b) a location for a destination wedding in the rest of the world?
I wanted to have a destination wedding when I got married in Rio!
c) a location for a wedding reception in your home region?
I love different locations something fun and interesting for guests, a little bit harder on a planner or designer, but fun and it creates great interest and memories.
d) a location for a wedding reception in in the rest of the world?
I would love to host a wedding in Egypt also!
Which strengths of your company would you like to mention?
We are creative and different, we don’t do ordinary and this makes my job even more fantastic.
Could you tell us a little story about something special that you have experienced during your work as a wedding planner (maybe something funny or very amazing)?
We had a wonderful bride about a year ago now and she came in said she was getting married, had a few photos and gave us her budget. She said she didn’t know anything about weddings and wanted us to do it all. She just liked this particular photo and particular colors and we really didn’t even see her again until about a month before wedding day when we did our final walk though. Once started her face was pretty blank and I was praying that she liked our ideas – because the wedding was only a month away. When we finished about an hour and a half later she started crying and asked what time should she show up? I couldn’t help but laugh! She said that from our photos she knew she could trust her vision with us. On wedding day when she arrived and the room was fully set she cried again and said it was 100x’s better than the photo that she gave us a year ago. That is why I love what I do!
